Giavanna Florey has more than 25 years of experience in health & welfare, risk management and human resources. Giavanna works with midsize to large employers on all aspects of human capital management and organizational wellbeing. Her experience includes a wide range of industries for regional, national and multinational employers. Giavanna also specializes in companies involved in mergers & acquisitions, private equity due diligence projects, pre-deal negotiations and liability assessments, transition services supporting cultural alignment and integration. She enjoys helping employers navigate the complex healthcare system, maintain compliant and provide solutions for affordable access to quality care. Giavanna moved to South Florida from New York in 2016 to take on a leadership role with a national Insurance broker in the Southeast region. Giavanna has served in leadership roles such as, Managing Partner at a regional human resources consulting firm in New York, Vice President & Director of Human Resources for a large regional insurance broker, Giavanna is currently Vice President with NFP a top national insurance firm providing full service employee benefits and property & casualty and is responsible for the state of Florida.
Giavanna has completed her SHRM-SCP certification and is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health in multiple states and has earned her certification in self-insured plans. A member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, (NAHU). Member of Florida Health Care Association (FHCA). Member of Risk Management Society (RIMS). Giavanna has served on many committees with SHRM-LI in New York. She has been an active of the Society Human Resource Management (SHRM) and member of Human Resource Association of Palm Beach County (HRPBC).
Giavanna has devoted her time to Heart2Heart, a not-for-profit outreach in South Florida that mobilizes volunteers to build meaningful relationships in long-term care centers and partners with 28 organizations in South Florida. Past Board member for the Coalition Against Child Abuse & Neglect (CCAN), board member for the Horizon Day Care Centers serving children at risk. In addition, Giavanna achieved recognition as one of Newsday's Long Island Women of Distinction. Past honoree with the Logan Foundation for her outstanding achievements in business and dedication to helping children with special needs. Giavanna has spearheaded mentoring programs for high school students and a featured 2018 Panel speaker for Employee Benefit Adviser.
